2. How does roomsXML work?
roomsXML is built on the rX Engine from WebSource. The system is dynamically linked to multiple accommodation suppliers via live XML feeds. When a search is run for any hotel, the system searches all these suppliers in real time, and the inbuilt comparison engine narrows down on the supplier providing the cheapest available room and provides this to you at NET rate. So it’s like having a direct relationship with hotels and suppliers.

roomsXML is linked up to many of the leading accommodation providers which are universally recognized and utilized by many travel agents. At the same time, through our offices and contracting departments worldwide, we are signing up with a lot of local suppliers in hard to get regions where large suppliers may not have covered effectively. We are constantly adding new suppliers to our base, which comes to you at no additional cost.

In fact, as we sign up new agents worldwide, they too become suppliers through the rX engine hotelier interface.

6. How do I start using roomsXML?
Click here to request a user account. Once your account is created, you can simply use the secure roomsXML login to create, view and manage your bookings right away. Following that, there are multiple ways to use roomsXML.

7. How long will it take to integrate the roomsXML feed to our existing website?
On an average, it takes between 3-4 weeks for XML integration. However, before any integration, our engineers would need to evaluate your requirements and provide fixed delivery schedules.

8. Will roomsXML take care of development and integration? At what cost?
If you do not have the necessary resources to take care of development and integration, then roomsXML can do this for you at cost. As our research and development labs are based in India, the cost advantages are quite significant.

9. Is roomsXML like an affiliate partner/white label program?
roomsXML is NOT an affiliate partner program. We do not give you a percentage of the sales. We are simply providing you access to the best net rates and availability. We work in the background and your customers do not know we exist. You would issue the vouchers and bill your customers directly. You can add your own mark ups and be in complete control of your sales.

10. What brand name will appear on the vouchers?
As we work only in the background, the vouchers from roomsXML will always have your own brand. All documents and sales procedures are tailored to your specific local needs and requirements.

11. Can I see which supplier is providing a particular room?
Due to our NDAs with our suppliers, we are not permitted to disclose that information. But it isn’t required as we are providing the cheapest room rate regardless of the source. At booking, the name and reference as provided by the supplier will be displayed on the voucher.

12. Will I need to replace my existing suppliers or sources?
No, if you are comfortable with your existing suppliers or sources then you can retain them. The roomsXML feed is an addition and not an alternative.

No. All rooms that you see are only available rooms.

Payments and Cancellations:
1. How much does a roomsXML account cost?
roomsXML is FREE to access without any sign up fee, monthly fee or other investment required. There is a nominal service charge on every booking made. This ensures that the cost is only in direct proportion to your sales.

2. What are the payment options?
You have the option of paying via credit card or bank transfer.

3. Are there any hidden costs?
There is 3% bank charge on every payment made via credit card. In order to avoid this charge, funds can be wire transferred directly to roomsXML.

4. How do I add my own mark ups?
 You can choose the percentage of the mark up and we can set it for you internally. We do not interfere with your decision on the mark up rate.

5. What is the payment and billing cycle?
 This is variable and differs with clients on a case to case basis as it depends on the volume of bookings and other parameters to be discussed with your local account manager.

6. What are the cancellation policies?
 Typically, there is a one night charge for cancellations within 5 nights prior to check in. For cancellations before 5 nights, there is no cancellation charge but there are exceptions in the case of certain hotels and suppliers. This will be specified prior to booking.

1. Can a roomsXML account be suspended or dissolved at any time?
Yes, an account can be terminated immediately on request. There is no time limit or expiry period for accounts that are redundant or haven’t been used for sometime. We reserve the right to terminate accounts in case of non payments etc.
